The wrecks in the lakes are well preserved for many reasons where as wrecks
in the ocean deteriorate, it seems reasonable that if left alone as they
have been since they sank the artifacts on  lakes wrecks will remain as they
are for many years however if artifacts are left on ocean wrecks they will
disappear forever when the wreck deteriorates. Plunder or preserve?? In the
ocean we plunder to preserve.
