You guys obviously do things a little differently over there, but I have to ask, why this urge to destroy? Don't try to kid me with the preservation nonsense, you don't save the tiger by having it stuffed & mounted in your den. I've seen the arguments...If I don't take it someone (some other asshole) will...We can display it for others to see (yeah, right on your mantlepiece)...I'll leave it to a museum when I die...If it's left it'll only rot away. All bullshit. What about the person who dives the wreck tomorrow or next week? What do they see? What natural habitats do you destroy with your crowbars and hammers? A wreck, like a cave or a reef has become a natural environment. Leave it to it's natural process. Enjoy it now for what it has to offer and leave it's future development for others to see. Go buy a porthole if it looks that good over your fire. YOU'VE seen it for real...YOU'VE been there...that's enough. When you dive a reef, why not snap off a bit of coral on the way past, after all the parrot fish will only get it eventually...and those speleothems are bound to get eroded sooner or later, on your next cave dive, just help yourselves.
