The two systems with which I'm familiar (OTC & Divecomm) use single side band
modulation of a 30 khz sound carrier.  I use the Divecomm with ScubaPro FFM and
an EXO26.  Works reasonably well after a short learning period.

  Is this system radio or ultrasound? The English word `wireless' in old days
(and still nowadays to some older people) meant specifically "radio", rather
than merely literally "without wire".
