SkyBlazer had a booth at Scuba95 on the Queen Mary this spring at which they
were marketing a waterproof AND PRESSUREPROOF handheld flare for divers. The
rep at the booth said that these were mfg'd specifically for diving
applications. They looked like a normal Skyblazer flare - about the size of a
fat ballpoint. I havn't tried them.

A great way to carry small flares with you at depth is inside a safety light
housing. If you remove the batteries and bulb assembly from a Mini-C, you have
room to store 2 small flares. Any other comments?
