Alex,

The purpose was to come up with an inexpensive way to get a little closer to
live and mobile photography or video subjects at very shallow depths
(10-15') without spooking them with your exhaust. Barry's original post
didn't mention the depth range or intended use or purpose so it was open to
some confusion.  However,  I could probably see it work at deeper depths
under certain conditions as the exhaust wouldn't need to go all the way to
the surface, just far enough away (???) to keep the critters comfortable.
