Just because you were stupid enough to purchase one of those pieces 
of garbage does not mean that it's the right equipment for the job. 
Spare air is nothing more then a false sense of security. I'm glad to 
see however that you were smart enough to admit that below 18m (60') 
it's useless.

Also in your test at 5-6 meters (20'), were you sitting calmly 
breathing that spare air? Do this, go to 100'. Exert yourself, make 
yourself pant.

Switch to the spare air and see how long it lasts.

Make sure to have a buddy with you so you don't kill yourself.

Remember, when you have an emergency situation you probably won't be 
breathing calmly.
