>This is the same as some people diving deep on air -vs- diving deep on >Tri-Mix. The diver has to be willing to accept the risk. What ever >their reason for not diving the worlds most safest mix. The reasons >may be, it cost more for TRI-MIX, Tri-mix isn't sold in my area, I'm >not certified to dive tri-mix, I don't need tri-mix to do what I'm >doing (I've done this dive many time on air)...etc. You've got ONE thing wrong - if this was exactly the same, then diving deep on air would be ILLEGAL because driving DRUNK is ILLEGAL. I know a LOT of people that used to say - hey I can drive drunk and I've never had an accident but that doesn't make their driving any less dangerous. Whatever your excuse, and it is nothing more than an excuse, recognize it for what it is. If enough people dive DEEP ON AIR and die then laws WILL be encacted that will restrict us all, probably far greater than we would like. Think about that before you do something stupid. Yea - I used to be a proponent of deep air but for the $$$ my life just isn't worth the chance. Oh, that bullshit about mix not being available - go learn how to mix your own if you MUST dive that deep. -Carl-
