[Deep Air pissing match deleted]

I think we pretty well know now where several of the parties stand
on the deep air issue. As for the flame war I have to say that remember
many of us Volkwagen drivers out here don't drive Porches but we
can still think (if we couldn't we shouldn't even be playing with
Matchbox cars). Given that we can think (or claim to) then maybe
we only need to hear how bad deep air is once (or maybe twice)
and how great deep air is once (or maybe twice) (hell set up a
bimonthly posting if you have to, to cover new subscribers) after
that (for me) references to studies and incident reports are what I
will use to decide how much risk I choose to take.

I respect those that are trying to point out the risks and trying
to (ultimately) save lives, but in the end its up to each diver
to chose their risk level, the best you can do is help
them make an informed choice.

So to actually try to bring some learning out of all this...
Has/does anyone actually collect(ed) stats of O2 hits so that this
bell curve (risk vs PO2) takes some shape?

Mike (a VW driver that doesn't care WHAT kind of car you d(r)ive, just
what you know, are willing to share, and can back up with experience
and/or references.)
