I just tried things out with lynx (a text based web reader, luckily I have mosaic as well :-) ) How you may still be able to get those images.... go to the web page in question list the source if you can, OR download the page (should get the html code) and scan that code for img or IMG commands (images) and record the file names of the images. Now if you were pointed at http://www.abc.com point at http://www.abc.com/cool_pic.gif When I do this I am presented with the option of downloading to my file system (unix) or by zmodem. Can't say it will work for you, but it _might_.
