Subject: Re: Back Plates (Plastic or Stainless)

I have uses both the ABS, Aluminum and stainless backplates, my preference
being the aluminum due to the 4 extra  pounds I get off my belt and onto my
back. I have seen many of the ABS plates crack at the weak point where the
shoulder straps go through the top of the plate.
