Bill, you mention that these guys in the agencies are the longest surving technical divers. I for one, was diving trimix long before Mount or IANTD were doing it. I sugusted to them that they see Bill Hamilton for tables and recommended partial pressures, to which these guys responded that Hamilton charged too much. How many times do we have to beat the same dead horse? I told you where the recommendations come from : they come from the oil companies and other commercial entities who have been doing this the longest. They also come from military applications. And by the way, I don't appreciate you putting a private message back on Techdiver - that really sucks. Now I will have to listen to all the know-it-alls who think that NOAA's nitox recommendations are a great idea. I think they suck, and I don't think anyone there has any intention of using this stuff the way we do, so it is a moot point. The part I don't like about NOAA is the short exposure, high PPO2 matrix. This is poison in the wrong hands. If you intend to do a 45 minute dive at 1.6, and let's say your scooter breaks, so you swim out, now you have an hour dive and you are working. This is why NOAA is bullshit. Maybe NOAA can sue me now along with IANTD. Bill, if you don't want me to send you messages, just say so, I won't. Please don't put my private messages on the lists. - George
