I suspect that this test is repeated hundreds of times per day, on various dive boats around the country. I have seen this short burst push bend yoke screws without dislodging the O-Ring and dislodge the O-Ring without bending the yoke screw. I've never seen this particular test applied to a Din fitting (except for one, with a yoke adapter attached). Hmmmm...I have had yoke O-Rings pop (especially the well maintained ones that the dive shops firmly attached to the tanks one might rent), but I've never seen a DIN O-Ring pop, although I understand US Divers had a bad run of them the first year they were making DIN adapters.
