While I realize that the Aga mask makes it tough to share air in an emergency, I have 2 ways we have gotten by this problem... #1. When my deep buddies and I are in the cold and not so deep, we practice a "bailout" of tearing off the mask and getting an alternate from someone else. The we practice replacing the mask and clearing it too. We also practice no mask ascents in cold water. With this "harassment" training we can usually overcome the desire to panic and give up. ** One thing I cannot recommend you do, but I do ** is get together on a shallower dive (25-30 ft) and do the sneak up and turn off the tank trick on your unsuspecting buddy. It keeps us on our toes, and we have an agreement that if we are in shallow water, we're fair game. ** Again, I cannot recommend this to you ** #2. The process in which I connect my regulators to my second stage for mix allows me to shut down any line and only use the line(s) I choose. In the result of loss of a supply, I can switch to another. If the 2nd stae goes, I can still use any of my alternates (if they have adequate supply). This works good for me too. I guess when it comes to full face masks, you just have to trust them a little, and if you have a problem, pray you have practiced for it. Tim "Blind faith in my aga" Olson
