   I think it is a result of God hating Darwin. He deliberately protects
those who are trying to kill themselves in order to screw up the theory
of survival of the fittest.

   Agree.

    This is similar to the cave diving class I took, and I thought it
was excellent!

     I believe in Both time and dive requirements. Obviously you need the 
dives, but it also takes time for the experience to happen and to sink in.

    Yes, it seems that the instructor is more important than the agency.
