>Oh please, spare us. Do I really have to get into the values of positve >and negative feedback on the Techdiver list? Take the information >presented on this list for what it is worth. You make the call. You >make the decesion. I wasn't asking for YOUR opinion on +/-0 feedback, in fact I don't give a damn about YOUR opinion on ANYTHING. I'll take ALL the information here, yes, but it's the stupid name calling, incessant posting and whining that has to go. One way to do this is to moderate the list. It's worked well for other newsgroups and it's time to do something here. >> 2) No anonymous posters - but anyone can read it. >Why should posting anonymously make a difference to this list? >Anonymously or not, the information posted will be the same. 1) without knowing who the person doing the posting is, you have no method to determine their experience, value of information, and probability that it's correct. 2) anonymity allows pussy assed pukes like twopinks to post stupidass comments with no accountability. >> And, if no one else would like to do it, then I would volunteer to be >> the moderator. I *GUARANTEE* that the S/N ratio will skyrocket. >Oh, good one. This is what _really_ yanks my chain. I don't care who >you are, your qualifications, your personality, etc. Other than the >Owner of this List, I personally do not believe that _anyone_ >subscribed to this list has the "right" to play GOD^H^H^HModerator. >Why the Owner? Well, it's his/her list. They can do whatever they >want, and no matter how much whining we can produce. Unsubscribe. Hey, if it yanks your chain tough, unsubscribe (gee, where did I hear THAT before) and crawl back into your hole. I *offered* to do it in case the owner thought that it was a good idea BUT did not have the time and no one else that is capable was interested. Nothing related to diving should/would be stopped, but the idiocy that has been here lately would be gone. Sorry, George, that would remove a lot of the fun that you've had and might cost you some sushi (hell, I'll buy you sushi when I see you!) and would end your fun with some of the strokes, but then you could get back to business and only deal with the diving issues, but I guarantee there will still be plenty for you to reply to. And, yes, you are right (on at least THIS point), the owner can do what he wants. -Carl-
