Bob, the aed is too high, and if you include the fact that the oxygen should be twice as narcotic as the nitrogen, you are now even "deeper". The best bet is to use no more than a 1.4 PPO2 (fewer recorded cases of seizure - the military uses less), and no more than a 130 AED (less is even better up to the point where the benefit of having three gases is missing). This should keep you fairly clear, not likely to tox, and the reduced pressure of nitrogen in combination with the presence of the helium shoud reduce the tendency for the nitrogen "tension" to cause the red corpuscles to become rigid and cause microcirculatory damage, and therefore DCS related thereto. Maybwe the Brits could take over here. like Ali Lawrie, and fill in the rest. - George << Start of Forwarded message via prodigy (R) mail >> From: TecMaster@ao*.co* Subject: Nitrox Date: 09/09 Time: 06:27 AM Date: Sat, 9 Sep 1995 06:24:44 -0400 From: TecMaster@ao*.co* [TecMaster@ao*.co*] Subject: Nitrox George, What is wrong with nitrox at 170?
