Raimo, you are making a mistake with this one. Mee is a biomedical engineer, with more degrees than you have certifications, and an IQ higher than the depth at which your "agency" recommends diving nitrox.. He taught engineering at one of the Ivy League schools at an age where most people are still in high school. He has been diving more than twenty-five years, and has done most of the wrecks you come down here to dive on the day they were sunk, to film them for the sinkers. He is the president of a medical electronics copmpany that he started. "Stupid" may be a little too creative here. It is really interesting that someone of this intelligence thinks what he thinks - maybe we should look at the same profile for those he is criticizing. And Bob, you either need to step up and pet the pony with some good flaming that we can all enjoy, or be serious and tell all of us the virtue of deep diving on air, diving PPO2's that are too high, diving nitrox too deep, diving inappropriate AED's, and other things mentioned by Mee. And Bob, the fact is that the number one excuse we hear for not diving the right mix is the "expense". This may not be the case in New England, but we have seen this here. - Gerge Irvine << Start of Forwarded message via prodigy (R) mail >> From: TecMaster@ao*.co* Subject: Re: IANTD Teaching Date: 09/09 Time: 06:32 AM Date: Sat, 9 Sep 1995 06:28:46 -0400 From: TecMaster@ao*.co* [TecMaster@ao*.co*] Subject: Re: IANTD Teaching Dear Mr. William Mee, Who are you? Another Technical expert? Tell us about yourself, your EXPERIENCE, your TRAINING, your DIVE ABILITY, so we can appreciate your stupid posting. All training agencies have been and will always be around, whether we agree with all their standards or not. Don't blame agencies for divers being cheap and stupid. And those enrolling in any technical level training, by any agency, are much more aware of the risks than an entry level beginner scuba diver. Those divers that like adventure and pushing the limits have a right to do so, whether you like it or not. Stop complaining and try diving!
