I believe "depth less than ceiling" means that if you have to make 40 
foot stop and you go to 30 feet for 5 minutes, it goes into guage mode,
presumably you are bent at this point or far enough along toward being 
bent that they can't reliably calculate deco.

You would need to implement your "I'm Bent" plan at this point.

I don't see how you are getting this unless you are understanding the term 
"depth less than ceiling" differently from me. By "less than" they mean 
numerically less than, i.e. 10 feet is less than 30 feet.

I have a Nemesis I and it goes into deco mode quite nicely, so the newer 
models shouldn't have a problem.
