Hi! This will be my first question on the list, I`ll try and make it short! I am concerned about the problem that might arise when switching from a bottom trimix/heliox to a ascent travelmix of air. For the sake of it let`s say I dive on a bottom mix 50%He/10%O2/40%N2 to= 80m. I want to switch back to air as early as possible to preserve the bottom= mix. I might want to do this at 55m. My problem is then that the bottom mix END will be reduced to approx. 22m, I will in practice go straight to an END of 55m in a very short time. I do belive this situation may be different from a controlled slow decent to= =20 55m. A friend of mine reported dizziness and also knew of other instances where= =20 divers felt uncomfortable at deep switches. I do not know if there is a=20 great danger of N2 hit, but would be very grateful for comments from you= guys! Thanks! =D8yvind Oyvind Andersen European Institute London School of Economics & Political Science U.K. / Institute of Comparative Politics=20 University of Bergen ; Norway E- mail : sspoa@is*.ui*.no*
