I'm enjoying this thread a lot because it's a topic I hadn't previously given much thought to. I'd like to know what people think of the ethics of forwarding a message posted on techdiver to someone who is not a subscriber to techdiver (assuming that techdiver remains open to subscription by anyone with an email address). If you think it would be unethical, would it be unethical to tell a non-subscriber how to access the techdiver archives? What about telling a non-subscriber how to subscribe? These are honest questions - I'm not trying to mock anyone or anything. I understand the context-sensative argument, and I largely agree. My solution has always been to compose my ramblings in such a way that the only way to misrepresent what I say is to either out and out misquote, or quote out of the context of my own message. Aloha, Rich
