Richard, In my opinion (and I give the bird sign to a HUMBLE opinion) this list IS a public list. A subscription list is open to all people who apply UNLESS the editors/publishers/(in this case the moderators) have specified that the readers meet a set criteria. A scientific journal is open to everyone (but how many ACTUALLY understand all that's written?), but is targeted to that sector of science. The same for AquaCorps & also any email list. You's pay your money, you can read! Unless we are going to say that to have access to the list you must firstly become a member of the "list" association (& here is the application form, please supply certification verification) then it is public access. AND public means public, like the masses! I think though the plot is being forgotten. My point is this, why are people complaining because they were quoted. Either they said it (and stand behind it) or they shouldn't say anything in the first place! You can't whisper in dark places & call that "having your say!" Another thing people should not forget. That by subscribing to a magazine or email list YOUR details are therefore property of the list/mag provider and I would think that THOSE details would be more sensitive that their comments. Anyone who types request "who" gets a full list a subscribers...at least in publishing they are made to pay for this information. CONCLUSION: access to information requires an exchange of information regards Richard T ---------------------------- Diver: Do Not Bend ----------------------------
