Well, I'm glad to hear that you and I have the same perspectives on
protecting sharks! My comment on "well-intentioned but misguided" was
actually a feeble attempt at sarchasm.  TRUST ME! On a regular basis I
have to deal with people who sincerely believe that removing tiger sharks
from Hawaiian waters will somehow reduce the probability of an attack. I'm
not about to take a stand on the "rightness" or "wrongness" of killing
other critters; however I am frustrated with the immense ignorance about
sharks that persists -- even among divers (who should know better!).
Thanks for supporting the cause! (Incidently, my brother was among those
who helped establish recent laws protecting white sharks off California).
