Last winter, I noticed a "comfort time" increase of about 1/3 when using argon
as a drysuit gas. This was when doing shallow dives (less than 50 fsw) with a
Viking suit in -1 to 2 degC waters.

I have never attempted to completely purge the suit using the DUI method. I try
to get rid of  all the air in the suit while at the surface (in water) and then
use argon for the dive. Works well for me.
