Hi Rod, I am very satisfied with my three Scubapro Mk 10/ G250's. They are easy breathing and have held up well. The LP whip is a bit long, so I replaced them with shorter hoses to prevent a big "loop". The first stage is not easily overhauled at home, if that is a consideration for you. The first stage has LP ports facing every which-way and two HP ports. Therefore, it is easily adaptable for most any configuration. I also have a G200 second stage, which I like very much. It lacks the adjustment knob found on the G250, but is very reliable and a little simpler in design. I'm embarrassed to say it, but my favorite regulators are the old US Divers Conshelf series. You can take them apart, clean them, adjust them at home with a few common tools (and a gauge) and they last forever. My O2 regulator is an old conshelf, (circa 1971) cleaned for O2 service and with O2 compatible soft parts installed. The design hasn't changed much in 25 years, and they are very rugged. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: "Best" Regulators Author: steen@ha*.co* (Rod Shearer) at ~INTERNET Date: 95/05/17 10:10 Currently use the Poseidin Odin and find it to be a very good regulator (it took a few tune-ups). Before purchasing another Odin, I'd like to learn what others on the list think are regulators worth considering. Please tell me brand, model and why you like it. If I get enough of a response, I'll share the results for all. Please email directly to me. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------- "Hakuna Matata" steen@ha*.co* [ \ ] -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@opal.com'.
