From: chris@ab*.co* (Christopher M. Parrett)
Date: Fri, 05 May 1995 21:25:31 -0600
SUMMARY of your responces so far to my question about the features of a
Mixed gas Decompression Computer:

Max. Operational Depth:
	200m

Target Retail price:
	WU, $1,250-1,500.00
	TU, $100-150.00 each.

Max # of TUs WU can receive from:
	5

TU should:
offer a max working pressure of 325bar.
have an extender option for placement on tight 1st stages.
(A short flexable hose may be an option.)
be a pressure transducer only, no computing power.

WU must:
allow for a TU to be disabled with a MANUAL overide.
be able to compensate for TUs sending pressure drop due to temp variation.
be able to operate with NO TUs in full manual mode.
be able to compensate for Buddy-Breathing as donner or receiver.
require manual input/confirmation to select current breathing gas.
require manual confirmation of gas Switch.

WU should:
	house the computer.
offer both visual and audio alarms.
allow flash ROM to be upgraded for software updates.
offer a "Sleep" mode for power conservation.
allow usre to scroll through possible gas mixes for selection.
offer a screen that is pixilated, not fixed LCD.
offer as large a screen as is reasonably possible.

WU screen must be lighted:
	Lighting should be touch activated.
lighting should remain ON for 5 secs after contact.
	lighting should offer "stay-on" option.
light should be sufficiently bright to be seen in Lo-Vis conditions.

WU batteries should be user replacable:
Batteries should be over the counter disposable.
	Batteries could be custom rechargable.
batteries could be in a seperate power container.
CPU and Light batteries could be seperated.

WU could be fairly large, but not more so than an Edge.

Software/WU must offer:
	Multiple gases.
	Profile pre-loading into WU.
	Profile downloading into PC.
	Dual-Key confirmation of any choice.
	Emergency options;
		Buddy breathing.
		Thermal Loss.
		Surface supplied gas.
		Manual Gas Selection & Switching.
		TU disable.
		TU temporary ignore.
		TU failure.
Emergency gas choices, not in profile.
