I suggested both of these months ago when I last tried to get
Chris to cut back on his advertising. I'm glad (shown below)
that Chris is finally looking at a web page. I have bitten my tongue
(or fingers I should say) from posting anything else about the subject
until someone did, I thought that was fair to Chris (believe it or not
Chris I actually was trying to be fair... ;-) ), that perhaps
I was the only one bothered by the ads. If that was the case I
figured I was the odd one out and I would simply hold my tongue
(or fingers). Glad to see I am not. If memory serves
Chris felt the "attack" was personal, it is not. The
"attack" is totally on principle that I do not think this
list was set up for advertising.

My still ideal post from Chris would be:
"Abyss 1.20 is out. We are excited. Email abyss_details@xy*.ab*
to receive an automated reply FULL of details, or check out
our web page at http://......., or join our mailing list by
sending mail to ........"

Simple, to the point, it lets anyone that wants the info get it
easily, spares the rest the GORY details.

This must be business rates. I can have (not this acct, but on another)
a web page for free. Sure I have to design it, but hey you
start simple and get more fancy as you learn. If this is not
business rates, then someone is trying to take you to the cleaners..

You fail to state whether this means that the long ads to techdiver
will then stop(or at least diminish).

My opinions, not Alcatel's they only function when open.
