You are overlooking part of my (same) last post, I quote:

My still ideal post from Chris would be:
"Abyss 1.20 is out. We are excited. Email abyss_details@xy*.ab*
to receive an automated reply FULL of details, or check out
our web page at http://......., or join our mailing list by
sending mail to ........"
---

And again, I state that I wouold never have a problem with
such a short succint message appearing on techdiver (others
might, I wouldn't), of course assuming it is tek related
(which Abyss is).

I never said it couldn't be worse ;-) (or more offensive to me,
might be a fairer statement)

> Am I imagining things, or did I not post any of that information??

again, a lack of ALL characteristics EVER associated with an ad,
does not prevent something from being an ad. (or perceived as such)

> But, for the 5-6 people that are consistently unhappy with me posting any

Its not ANY info, its when its PAGES of info.

I look forward to seeing
" Abyss for the Mac is now shipping. Please check out web site
at http://...... or email abyss@xy*.ab* for all thee details."

My opinions, not Alcatel's they only function when open.
