From: ddrake01 I wanted to publicly thank the folks who've shared with us the experiences of the Sky Diving community. Its great to see the collective experiece of the group come to the fore. Why learn the hard way, when you can take a class or go to a seminar? We, in Michigan are facing a lot of regulatory issues from our own Department of Natural Resources. Some feel the need to protect wrecks has/will generate a government bureaucracy that will not serve the community that started it. I always shudder when I hear of Canadian horror stories and required user fees to dive in Lake Huron. Enforcement requires more money, etc.--a high $ spiral. It is time for the community to take steps to reduce liability and regulatory costs for its own sake. Commercial interests will be served if more people can afford the sport due to lower insurance costs and user fees, etc. Hopefully, we aren't too out of control and diverse to do it here in the US. Wow, this soap box is really getting out of control, the bubbles are over- whelming. I think I'm going to have to attempt In-Soap-Recompression on O2 ;-) At least the soap will clean my act up. Please, somebody stop me! DAVID DRAKE AHDNN1A.DDRAKE01@ED*.CO* ROMULUS, MICHIGAN EDS/GM POWERTRAIN 8-375-5467 (GM NET)
