Some people are ready to hear things, some aren't. Going into a course with a chip on your shoulder would not be conducive to passing it. If I had to bet real money, I might bet against you too. That you appear ready to discount what you admit is an excellent approach to diving and diving instruction because you don't think they're polite online seems childish. Did you like you drill instructor? Your Mom when she punished you? Your Coach? My football coach was the biggest arrogant jerk in the world, but we were undefeated in four years on the Varsity squad.
