For Sale
Mako Scooter

Black and Red $1000 firm, does not include: battery, charger,
shipping from LA.

The Mako has a variable pitch propeller, 9 easy to set positions
for max thrust and speed at the cost of battery time or min
speed to get extended runtime. Advertised thrust of over 50
pounds and 40 minutes of run-time. At the lowest setting: 15
pounds of thrust and 2-hours of run-time.

The Mako is simple to operate and maneuver. A tow cord is
easily made and will allow for one hand operation. A 1.5 pound
soft weight in the nose will give the DPV a neutral nose level
position. A green, yellow and red LED battery indicator provides
simple monitoring of available juice during a dive.

Learn on it for a year and then send it in to George for an
upgrade to a Gavin. Your cost for the year will be about $200.
This is the only scooter that has trade-in value for a Gavin
Scooter.

Dry history: Local Dive Store Floor Model
Wet History:
Pool - got myself towed until the battery showed red - took a
while
Redondo Beach, 80 feet 45 minutes - no surf that day
The Palawan, 130 feet 45 minutes - race course
Farnsworth, 150 feet 50 minutes - db pick-up
Cabrillo Lobster Dive, 20 feet 2 hours - salting the dive with
chocolate lobsters
Undisclosed movie set, 15 feet 3 days - sworn to secrecy

It had a seepage problem in battery compartment - I ended up
using strategically placed sponges. Sent to Oceanic for O-Haul,
don't know it they fixed it or not!
Caveat Emptor

Will include a spare set of O-rings if i can find them (may ship
at later date, as I have moved and and not all the boxexs are
marked)

If you really want the battery you can drop by to pick it up.
