Simon, I do use sidemounts when in the Bahamas most of the time since there
are so many caves that are room to room with low squeezes ( as opposed to
freattic passage) and it is easier to get the gear over there on the little
airplanes. I do use a rebreather for ridiculously deep dives and for long ,
deep cave dives. I don't use a rebreather that adds more risk, and I dive it
with proper bailout and an appropriate buddy team - things that are clearly
over your head.

You still don't have a clue what we are talkinq about here, what DIR is, or
what you are talking about. You still have yet to show me what system, idea
or whatever works better and you have yet to show me what does not work in
DIR. You started with the "cult" bullshit, and now you need to show me where
doing anything safely and correctly involves "cultism".

If you did read JJ's book, you need to get some reading comprehension
lessons. There is nothing in there about "cults" or doing any stupid things
that you seem to be so sure are correct. My bet is that you really do not
know anything about any of this, and my bet is that if you just talk enough
on here, you will prove it. You have already shown you have some big
resentment of this ( as in the video of the morons who do what 99% of you
do), but then my guess is that you recognized yourself in there and don't
see the need for DIR.

George,

1 - Sidemounting in sumps
2 - CCRs for 100M+ dives in the ocean.

I do neither, you do neither, so the two of us arguing over it would be a
wee bit silly.

DIR is a very good system and I have learned a lot from JJ's books. I don't
believe that it is the only way to dive safely though.

Cheers,

Simon.
