Perhaps we need to 'modulise' the top end certification.Maybe this would allow people time to become confident with new theory/ skills in bits before continuing on.This could happen right now, except that most instructors tend to cram it inti a few days (I guess money is playing hard on this one!) The difficult part is checking any 'credentials' that are required as a pre-requisite for a particular type of training. I know Billy Deans uses his personal assesment via in-water observation as a big pointer towards somebody's potential skill level and suitability for the training. It would of course be easier if it were possible for groups to form that would hopefully help people with the new skills in the real worl. The problem is a lot of the time the narrow mindedness of certain people shuns the interested bystander. If somebody asks me - I try and explain - they may not understand, but at least they have an answer. I am sure there will be few more posts...................
