That is the only decent scooter you have ever owned, but you do not
understand it ( as evidenced again by this post), and too proud to ask. Go
talk to Rodney and let him explain it to you. Rodney will not threaten your
ego. I will reimburse Rodney for anything that he has to do other than talk
to you.

And, I did not charge anyone for anything. If they want to buy extra parts,
I sell them at cost. That reed switch is a five dollar part, the clutch is a
five dollar part unless you get one that is intended to slip repeatedly
without wearing, like the one we use cave diving which costs more like 120.
In your case you just need to be able to turn the pitch off at deco if it
sticks on. We need to be able to turn it down, then stop the scooter and
turn it back up as we switch stages. Also, you want the thing to slip if it
hits something ( like it did when your mate stuck his hands in the prop and
pulled the trigger) so that the relay does not blow when the motor stalls or
in the case of a long term stall , so it does not fry the windings of the
motor.

Please call Rodney and ask him how scooters work in general. I doubt he
knows anything like what I know, but he should be able to tell you enough to
keep the nonsense to a minimum and keep you up and running, and that is
really all you need. If you were using these devices the way I use them,
well we would have to find a way around your resentments long enough to show
you the real story.

Anyway, seriously, go to Rodney and I will call him today and tell him I
will reimburse for any expenses he has in dealing with you.

The scooters are fine, but you do not have to pound the guys when they
email you and you should not have charged the guy for the broken
reedswitch. The clutch is a design problem because it is plastic and the
new motors have to much kick which loosens the screw over time. Once the
clutch slips it needs to be replaced. The plastic rounds over.......... I
do not even think it needs a clutch, it is not a digging scooter and a
diver should be able to see anything about to be sucked into it as it is in
front of him.

I will keep the one I have as I am not likely to get another for the price
I paid for it, but when I build my new one I may sell it, I have 3 scooters
right now.
