I will have to go back and look at what I have there, since I do not do the
websites, but my guess is the number you are using is closer to the heat plus
coefficient of expansion, not just one or the other . I use 12% for the
coefficient, and the heat thing is more subjective due to speed of filling
and of course which gas you add first. As far as mixing, the speed of the
fill will determine how long it takes to mix out.

George

Dive kit packed so nothing much to do other than ponder...

Just checked out the URLs and noticed your 17% He over pump from the "ideal"
pressure. Generally, I over pump all the gasses by 10%, O2, He and air in
that order. I hot fill and get very good results. On the two occasions I
have bothered to analyse the He, when the O2 was spot on, I found it to be
3% higher than target percentage (assuming the He analyser is correct!!!).

Not that it matters much as too much Helium is a tortology, but have you
analysed the Helium after over pumping 17%?

The other curiosity I have mentioned before is that the O2 takes some time
to stabilise (often up to 6 hours), but I have a set in the garage pumped 36
hours ago. Either side of the (manifolded) twinset is still analysing
differently on O2 - only 18.8% and 18.4% gauge which is neither here nor
there and will eventually diffuse. (Sorry John.) However on leaving the
shop it was around 11-12% - I only ever get this with Trimix. I've had long
debates as to why this occurs and suspect it to be the viscosity of the
gasses under pressure acting similarly to liquids rather than gasses. Any
thoughts?

<< File: ATT00004.htm >> No, it is not correct. the only writing on the
bottles should be the number

that corresponds to the MOD and your name. Do not write "MOD" or "Feet" or

"Meters" or "50/50" or any other nonsense.

See http://www.wkpp.org/articles/Gear/equip_gasandmarking.htm for the

entire correct way to do all of this, and see the pictures at

http://www.wkpp.org/articles/Gear/equip_moreimages_3.htm for examples . In

your case, obviously, the numbers would be for meters not feet, but there

is no need to indicate that as it is dead nuts obvious.

Read the whole discussion on my web site and you will see why this is true.
