Then. poor communication: Pilot to ship ( amongst a bunch of some all likealikes) "heli to ship NN.3x..nn hey can you identify yourself? american flag..hm, colour. hmmm, hey could you displace something discernable on yer frontdeck ( like barebosom mermaid)... and so on, or just,: hey boat xx, can you pls leave mooring at xxhundred hour heading for bearing xxxhundred? good communication, may be bad weather: hey boat xx, can you pls leave mooring at xxhundred hour heading for bearing xxxhundred? Mass inertia is helping proper operations. A moving heli is less subject to sudden wind, a moving boat less to wave, and buoy line interference.
