>To All Concerned, Allow me to contextualize Mr. Crowell's comments of 7/9/2002. .....On an average day, we ignore malicious attempts, like Mr. Crowell's, to promote their nefarious agendas by deceiving the public. Exchanges of invective are such a colossal waste of time, and we have none to spare at GUE. However, following this last round of remarks, we can no longer justify ignoring such transparent and dishonest attempts to slander GUE. Slander is legally actionable; the intentional distortion of the truth designed to harm others is frowned upon by the law. If Mr. Crowell, or any other entity, has questions that need to be answered, they should address these to the officers of the organization, not tell stories to the public. If they choose not to, and persist in these slanderous public attacks, we will have no other choice, however offensive we might find this, than to seek legal recourse to either silence them or coerce them into representing things how they are, not how they wished them to be. First you get Mr. DIR and the rest of the "Seven Dwarfs" to slander, insult, misrepresent everyone not in "YOUR CLIC" and now when you start to get some of your own medicine back, you whine. Gee was it just a coincidence that the IANTD, TDI bashing campaign began just prior to he launch of the vaunted GUE agency? You weren't trying to make them look bad just to propagandize the morons on this list into believing GUE was the best? What's really funny is how you get a scumbag, ambulance chasing lawyer to crawl out from under his rock and threaten people every time you get some flack. Your goal of making diving safer and more enjoyable is laudible, but your methods are a disgrace. You have failed miserably get your message across and shot yourself in the foot by turning so many people off. As GUE expands it will experience the same problems as the other agencies with instructors taking short cuts to make a buck.
