Please note: I never said a BP/Wing combo is bad, in fact (as I said) -
"today I would buy one too". The reason for the restitching is that when
(in the beginning) my straps were not adjusted properly, I was placing too
much strain on the padded shoulder straps (running under the 2" webbing).
Yanking on these repeatedly caused some stitches to come out. I wouldn't
say that this is a defective product because of this, more that it was my
fault for this happening. I was simply addressing a question with an
honest answer that comes from my experience, AND I advised them to buy a
backplate!

Don't know what more I can do to appease....at least there weren't any death
threats, I suppose :-)

Gene

(BTW - could this thread die already? No-one here will ever endorse
DiveRite, nor would I expect them to, so kicking a dead horse is rather
pointless. :-) )

Direct examination of psychologically healthy people shows pretty clearly
that they are positively attracted to the mysterious, to the unknown, to the
puzzling and unexplained. This is noteworthy because it contrasts sharply
with the psychologically sick person's tendency to be threatened by the
unfamiliar, the ambiguous , the unknown.

Maslow, "The need to know and the fear of knowing" General Journal of
General Psychology.
