Hey guys,

I don't know if you guys caught this little gem that Dr. Quack posted to =
rec. scuba but I really thought a bunch of you would really get a kick =
out of this.. Here's a guy that get's on here and argues with everyone =
because of his superior knowledge, so I thought I'd share with you =
exactly how little this guy actually knows.

It appears that he is in his TDI tech diving class, and posted this =
report about his class:

From Dr. Black:

Of all the useless skills taught in technical diver training,
this has to rank as numero uno. The idea of inflating a lift bag
to perform drifting deco is, where I dive in the Great Lakes,
useless. Maybe you ocean divers are doing this lots, but it
just doesn't happen around here, and if it ever did happen, the
boat captain who would have to chase after you would be one
unhappy skipper. On the other hand, using a lift bag(s) to raise
a heavy object is a skill that does get used, and has practical
value. But shooting a lift bag, as in technical diver training,
is something you do once or twice as a student, then never again
as a diver. Cheers from Icediver (stepping down from the soapbox).

Sorta makes you really wonder what they hell they teach at TDI, huh???
