My opinion is it is a bad choice at all. Too easy to overrun the constant bleeding system. Dash down faster than the bleeding rate creates a relative vacuum in the relative chamber, sucking water in. The latter's residues further clog up the bleeding hole, thus the reg ends up with no depth compensation. Using it intermittently , like in a secondary, or drysuit inflator may create the same problems. Sherwood knows this but they keep lying about it.
