MensagemMichael - EXACTLY - and you really don't want to dive with anyone
who is a deco weenie , either. That just spells issues and problems and a
lack of understanding of the game. Deco is when you have to be most alert.

Subject: AW: Suunto Vytec vs. Suunto Vyper

  Hi Fabricio,

i have not seen the Vytec yet and the Suunto-Guys usually build
OK-Computers (in Gauge-Mode), but i am still
wondering what the seconds are for ???
Deep-Stops ? Naaaaaaa, either they are in the Minutes-Range due to beeing
on a vvverrrryyy long dive, or they are more like
20-30 seconds and then i just do them by "scratch my back, look for my
buddy, make it comfortable, go to next stop".
Either way, i think seconds are not necessary and people might stare on
their "seconds" instead of watching their surroundings...

I hoped they would make the divetime better to see, if the computer is on
the right arm, the divetime is harder to see without
  getting from the scooter-trigger.
From this Point of view nothing beats the Uwatec-Bottom-Timer.

  Michael

Do anybody have any experience with the new Suunto diving computer,
Vytec? Three gas mode, gauge mode, etc? URL: http://www.suunto.com/

Reckon its gauge mode is more "juiced" than Vyper's (displays
minutes/seconds). Alas, before anybody recommend one, I already have a
Uwatec BT, and had it die on me on an ocean dive, while surfacing to the
30ft (9m) deco stop (no harm done, thanks the buddy system). So, I went to
buy a Vyper, but the importer urged me to buy a Vytec instead. Any thoughts?

    Best regards
    Fabricio
