Kurt, what sort of canister lights is SCRET using? Most of the ocean 
divers I see have the EE 4 or 6 Ah battery packs, and those are only a few 
pounds negative. Can you really count that as being "ditchable weight" in 
any meaningful sense? Or in other words, if you drop the light does your 
drysuit alone have enough lift to float you on the surface with your head 
out of the water?

Either way, I don't think it matters much for you since you can just swim 
to the surface and then get directly onto the boat. The boat is right 
there to pick you up. But for some of the dives my friends and I do we may 
have to swim a long way to get back to the anchored boat, or to shore. 
Doing this with heavy tanks, a busted wing, and rough surface conditions 
is not going to be real fun. That is the point I was trying to get across.

Yes, I know SCRET always uses safety divers (and we are starting to do the 
same) but that is kind of a separate topic.
