Some minor corrections - <Snip> On weighting with drysuits, I think a lot of people are still missing the essential concept of ocean diving with a balanced rig. The SCRET group can get away with using no ditchable weight because they run live boats and have properly trained surface crews who will be on you in seconds if you have a problem. <snip> We in SCRET use ditchable weight. We have our cannister light that can be dropped in case of inflation problems. When we dive, we follow the DIR practice of proper weighting and diving a balanced rig exactly as Trey describes in numerous posts on the subject (stay submerged at 10' with minimal gas, swim the rig up from the bottom, etc.). Live boats and trained crews can't help much at depth. That's why we have safety divers in the water during deco to help with problems.
