Everyone else on the trip was freeloading, so if they talkied this guy out of diving they couldn't have freeloaded.. The notion that this guy could start trimix training with 27 dives and attempt to do the Doria with only 87 dives under his belt defies logic.. Now factor in that he was fat and out of shape, he had health problems [ ie; diabetes], and his training was a clusterfuck, what would you expect the results to be??? My initial reaction to this lawsuit was that I also believed that the family was just looking for nuisance money, but after reading the coroner's report, if it turns out to be factual, then Joe Jackson has got a lot to answer for, as well as TDI hiding behind some creative language respecting the 100 dive minimum, but it could be waived at the instructor's discretion..
