I saw this on Compuserve last night, and thought I'd pass it along... Don ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Based on the many requests and complaints from the membership IANTD has negotiated a new policy through Lloyds of London, that will cover IANTD instructors for BASIC OPEN WATER programs all the way through TRIMIX diving to 300 fsw. Many of the members have been very patient with us, and those who were teaching both the recreational open water programs as well as the EANx programs or any of the Technical programs needed to be covered through two different insurance policies. The new policy will be slightly more expensive than the existing IANTD policy, but should not exceed $500 /year. The new policy will go into effect as of June 30. Current instructors will be notified by mail. In addition IANTD will also offer a Facility Insurance Policy. The details are being worked on, but should be available in the very near future. IANTD is the first organization to offer such insurance, again based on membership input. If there is anything that IANTD should do or not do, please do not hesitate and let us know.
