I had a similar problem with one of my scout lights. At the time, I was
told that Underwater Kenetics made the lens portion of the lights and had
changed the length of the part without letting anyone know. As a result,
unscrewing the front far enough to turn the light off (even when under
pressure) created the opportunity for to flood, which it did. The fact that
the internal pressure and heat that resulted from shorted batteries did not
damage the case or lens is a testiment to just how robust the lights are.
Brownies replaced mine without batting an eye, as I expected they would
(good people, good products, good service). I still have two different
models, but suspect one predates the problem while the other postdates the
fix.

Rather than throw the light away, contact your retailer or EE to see what
they can do for you, assuming that JJ does not contact you first.

In answer to the original question, rotate the bezel until it turns off and
then shake the light a bit. If it comes back on, as one of mine sometimes
does, turn it a bit further. The goal is to move it far enough out that it
does not turn on unintentionally but no further.

Lee
