Hi Jim
Sometimes I get caught up in my own little world of diving and forget the
only reason I even stay on this list is to help some new diver avoid things
I have seen, and yes even things I have done. It is very hard to keep
things from becoming "personal" in a debate when all I ever hear is how
fucked up I am and how many times must I have to defend or agree with the
scooter shit. Yes, I have an ego, yes I wish it would not stick it's ugly
head out.

I could be just like almost everyone else that has achieved some success in
diving and not post anything or worse just post how perfect all my dives
are. Anyone who dives to any degree of depth or distance has a number of
failed or less than perfect dives on that road to the one perfect dive that
are far and few. My dive reputation would fair much better by just placing
those perfect dives on my web site with only those perfect dives on wrecks
and depths that are out of most divers range. Yet I share the good and bad
dives with you and anyone else who wishes to look into my world or wonder
what really happens. I make myself available to anyone at any level to dive
on the same boat and if you stay long enough you get to fall asleep and be
part of the "fly trick", it's all in fun.

The one thing I will always keep saying (and it will never change) is dive,
dive ,dive. There is no piece of gear, kit configuration, or training that
can replace experience, but everything adds up. Jumps in depth should be
done in small moderations and I would think that cave distances would be
the same rule, but that's not my bag, ask a caver.

I will always think highly of the divers that paved the way for me, no
matter what other divers think of them or how much I disagree/argue with
them. Without those guys I would not be here. I have far surpass a lot of
the oldtimers marks and skill. As I get into my later years now it is only
a matter of time before the younger guys who are willing to beat their
chest and risk their life to go where I have been and may be farther. Maybe
even Duane is that guy and clearly he has hooked up with the guys who can
help him get there.

There's only a couple of caves in the world that you can do this kind of
