Cobb, I base respect on several things: 1. The respect shown to me. =
2. The knowledge, achievements, or position of the person in question. =
Absence of the first criteria negates anything in the second, and the =
presence of the first will get you a lot farther than anything you can =
do that falls under the second. Weren't you the one who recently argued =
so vehemently that Mount didn't deserve respect just because he was one =
of the elders of techdiving, but rather should be judged on the content =
on his current practices? =20
In any case, calling me a "moron" is not going to garner respect by =
any stretch of the imagination. Had he called me an "asshole", at least =
it would have been believable. Had he posted an intelligent, reasonable =
response, or some sort of "advice" as you put it, we probably wouldn't =
be having this little pissing match.
For the record, my college days ended 6 years ago, so I won't be =
going anywhere that will interfere with my diving for a while, except to =
eventually drop 1,000 pound doses of laser guided love on our nation's =
enemies. =20
