Hi all, I am considering purchasing a drysuit for use in wreck and cave diving. I am looking for people's advice on which type to get. Options are: - Vulcanized rubber (such as a Viking) - Crushed Neoprene (E.g: DUI CF-200) - Nylon laminate type (E.g: DUI TLS or in Australia a 'Hot 'n' Dry') I have tried a Viking, but would prefer a lighter weight suit. How do the laminate suits perform in cave/wreck conditions ? I presume they may be more susceptible to puncture. Can they be protected by wearing overalls over them ? Price is a serious consideration and I would be interested to know whether suits such as the CF-200 are worth 3 times the price of a laminate suit (this is the price differential here in Australia). Thanks for any thoughts in this area. Regards, David. ______________________________________________________________________________ David Giddy, | Voice: +61 3 253 6388 Telstra Research Laboratories, | Fax: +61 3 253 6144 P.O.
