We don't dive steel tanks with a wetsuit, so that would mean you have to dive a drysuit with insulation in Ft Lauderdale in the summer? I don't think so. Double 80's are more than adequate gas for any course in the ocean. -----Original Message----- From: Gilldiver@ao*.co* [mailto:Gilldiver@ao*.co*] Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2001 9:48 PM To: techdiver@aquanaut.com Subject: GUE Required Tank size was Silent Submersion Vs Dacor First, lets give this pissing contest a new thread name, so I can delete it easier. <<I believe if you look at the required equipment for tech I section of the GUE web page, they specify 95's or larger.>> <<Not possible. You are thinking of IANTD.>> George is not wrong much but this time he is. Check out the GUE web page: www.GUE.com Pull down the GUE Standards + Procedures for the GUE Tech 1 Course (PDF Format) Go to section H Equipment Requirements, Part A Tanks I quote "Students are required to use a manifold assembly with twin tanks, each with an individual capacity of at least of 95 ft." Bad English aside, it looks like twin 80's don't cut it. To give the benefit of the doubt to everyone, it looks like this is a new posting on the site. So maybe they are just not up on what the current GUE requirements are, or it is a misprint and will be corrected. But that is what it says today.
