Chris,

In all likelihood the term Extended Range will be disappearing from NAUI
terminology in the near future. And frankly, you couldn't find an instructor
that could get the OK from HQ to do the course if you tried.

Things are changing, but with a non-profit organization like NAUI, it takes a
bit of time to get all the terminology out of the system. I'm guessing after
the BOD elections are done the course will disappear completely. For all
practical purposes, it hasn't existed for a few years. To run the course, a
NAUI Tech instructor would have to receive special authorization on a class
by class basis. Getting that special approval has been impossible for about
the same time frame.

But hey, I agree. The website lists it which gives the wrong impression.
